FFX Walkthrough

Oasis

You’ll start in a small pool in the middle of a desert oasis, with none of your party member near by. Make sure you grab the chest to the left before you get out of the pool. Begin your travels by heading north to look for your team members. Just follow the red arrows to find your way

The first monster you’ll fight is a bird called a Zu. You can’t flee this battle. Of course Tidus will suck ass against this type of creature until Auron and Lulu come join you in battle, so just take a couple of whacks at it until you lose a few Hit Points. Once Auron gets there use him to attack and heal Tidus. Haste yourself to make the battle go quicker. Lulu will enter the battle by attacking, and then you can use her to finish up. After Zu takes enough damage it will land, making the battle far easier.

After the battle Auron, Lulu and Tidus will talk, and decide to go looking for the other team members. Walk not too far ahead to find Wakka sitting at a small hut in the middle of the desert. Grab the chest behind him to get some free Al Bhed Potions. Rikku can use Al Bhed Potions, but only through the Use command (which can actually be taught to other party members). Go north-west (south west on the mini-map) to continue looking for people. From here go right to find Kimahri pointlessly walking up a sand wall, and basically giving up hope. Talk to him to get him back on your team. Head back and go up the other pathway.

Around the bend and a little further up you will find Rikku. She will tell you about this location, as she knows where she is. She also agrees to show the rest of the party about a secret town as long as they promise they don’t tell anyone else about the location. You can now use Rikku to easily destroy machina (as will be explained in the tutorial the next time you fight) by using the steal command on them. The machina will simply be dismantled.

Grab the two chests and save before you continue, then head north. Rikku will lead you all the way down the pathway until you get to a wide-open area. This place is huge. You can take any pathway you want, but just make sure you keep heading north. When you get to the end Rikku will lead you over the last ridge and you will arrive to find Home under attack.

Home

Galbadia, right?Enter the base, Home, through the front entrance. Inside a squad of Bombs and a Guado Guardian will attack you and your party. Make sure you destroy the bombs before they grow three times and explode. Once you defeat them your party will head through the door to the east, follow them.

Cid will announce over the intercom that he is going to self-destruct Home, and that Rikku should find the air ship to get out. Before you leave however, you must head to the Summoners Sanctum to find Yuna. After the convo a Guado and two Dual Horns will attack you once more.

Before you follow your team down the corridor go back, and go into the room on your left. Rikku will tell you it’s not that way, and you’ll have to fight the Guado Dual Horn team again, but you get to do to puzzles (which you need to know Al Bhed for). I’ll give the answers to my puzzle (for the top chest):

-1-

-2-

-3-

- Sorry (8)

- Wait (6)

- Pardon (5)

-4-

-5-

-6-

-7-

-8-

-9-

Which will get you one free Friend Sphere. Next to the chest on the left. It’s called the Treasure Chest of Dreams, and it asks what it contains, so you get to pick. Here’s what mine says:

Bomb

Elixir

Hi-Potion

Mega Potion

Soft

Chimera

Potion

Remedy

Evil Eye

Now go back out and run down the corridor. If you go down the corridor to the far right you will enter a room with two Chimera’s you must fight. The chest requires a password to open, mine is 5633: Try this formula if you can’t read it:

Number + Number
Number – Number
Number x Number
Number + Number

This quest is easier when you understand their language.Although I’m not sure if it’s the same for you. Check with the numbers to make sure they match up first. If they don’t then you’re on your own! The reward is a Special Sphere. PS: You can compile your Al Bhed Dictionary on the floor to the left of the chest.

Go back out the corridor to the three-way path and go down the center one to grab the chest which contains 6 Al Bhed Potions. Next take the left path and save. Through the doorway you’ll meet up with the rest of your party, where they’ll have a discussion about the history of Al Bhed and Spira. You’ll have to fight two more Chimera’s after Wakka and Rikku finish talking. Go down the stairway after the battle to talk with your team once more. Rikku will tell you about the Sanctum, and it’s purpose.

Grab the chest on your way out for a Lv. 2 Key Sphere, as well as another one on the other side for a Lv. 4 key Sphere, and then head through the door. In this room you will find the other summoners, but not Yuna. The other summoners will give the fallen soldiers a proper sending before they leave. Then Rikku will tell Tidus why the Al Bhed kidnapped the summoners, and about how when they summon they Final Aeon they are sacrificed. Tidus will then explain how upset he is that he didn’t know, after telling Yuna all those things about coming back. Then Tidus will have a flashback of him talking to Yuna in Luca. After this large cut-scene you can continue by going through the door at the bottom right of the map. Just grab the chest in the left side of the room before you leave. Exit through the door to enter the Airship.

Flying in FFX just isn't the same I miss the Highwind And the Ragnarok

In a last attempt to destroy the Guado and the monsters the Al Bhed will then use the artillery on the Airship to destroy Home.

And whatever it is that they fly in FFIX One day I'll play that game Promise
