FFX Walkthrough
Highbridge
Your next destination is the highbridge to visit Maester Mika. He seems to be the only one who can give the team more information. When you get there make your way up the bridge until you meet up with Mika’s guards. They will threaten you and attempt to scare you, however Shelinda will stop them. She will tell you some of the rumors that have been spread about you and the Al Bhed, and she’ll tell you about her future plans.
When you meet with Mika he will tell you to go and defeat Sin quickly, now that you have the Final Aeon. Tidus and Yuna will then tell Mika what happened when they met with Yunalesca. Mika will then lose all hope, and ramble on about how hope is lost and all is doomed. Afterwards he will disappear.
Yuna and Tidus will them both have a vision of the child fayth, the one who gave them Bahamut. They will then meet with the fayth in the temple, and get an explanation on what actions you are to take next. Yu Yevon will be explained as well as the idea about the Hymn of the Fayth.
After their conversation is finished you will meet with Shelinda one last time, and Rikku and Tidus will tell her about their plan to sing the Hymn of the Fayth to try and weaken Sin. Now everyone will sing along when "the ship in the sky plays the Hymn of the Fayth".
Airship
You’ll now find yourself back on the airship. It’s time to battle the first part of Sin. Check the NavMap and you’ll see a new location named Sin. Go there to start the next mission.
Cid will start the Hymn of the Fayth over the loudspeakers and the rest of Spira will apparently join in. Pretty cheesy, but whatever works, right? Rikku’s brother will now scream as the ship pulls in close, and the team will head to the upper floor to engage in battle. Once you regain control of Tidus make your way up to the elevator and out to the top of the ship. You’ll meet the rest of the team up there.
Don’t worry at all. This boss is nothing compared to stuff you’ve fought before, which doesn’t make much sense, because this is Sin, and he should be the hardest. He’s been a plague on the world for over 1000 years. Ah well, what can you do? All you have to do is worry about that target on Sin’s arm. Unleash your full strength on it. If you plan on using close range attacks then use either Tidus’ or Rikku’s Trigger Command to move the ship in closer. From far away you have to use magic’s or Wakka’s attacks. No status effects or nothin’ to worry about, just kill! You start on the Left Fin, after that it’s on to the Right Fin, and the strategy is the same for that side too.
The gun that blows off the two arms will stop working after that, and the party will decide to take Sin head on. The next part of the battle will take place on Sin itself. You will first fight Sinspawn Genais. It’s a lot like a Sinspawn you’ve fought before, only this time there’s no vine things surrounding you because this Sinspawn starts already open. Magic constantly works on Genais, and physical attacks work most of the time. They don’t work when Genais closes up its outer shell. Firaga works best, between all the magic’s. Finish it off and move onto the main target, Sin. The final target is too easy. Simple magic’s and its most powerful move is Gravija. Finish this one up and your done.
After you win Sin will make a gigantic crash landing just outside Bevelle. Back inside the ship the whole crew will be amazed and such. Time for them to finish the job. Time to kill Yu Yevon inside Sin. Follow Cid out of the cabin and meet Yuna up on top of the ship. Her and Tidus will talk out there plans to destroy Sin.
The carcass of Sin will get up one last time, spawned this time with wings. Now you have to destroy it one last time without help from the gun on board the Airship. Once you’re back in control of Tidus again make your way to the top deck.
