Besaid Cloister of Trials
Start by walking forward and touching the strange glyph. Then touch the second one that appears on the east wall. Go down the stairs, and grab the Glyph Sphere halfway down the stairs by pressing X near the symbols on the wall. Place the Glyph Sphere into the doorway at the bottom of the stairs, and continue into the next room.
Go down the hallway until you see some symbols on the wall to the right. Touch them to open a new room that has the Besaid Sphere inside it. Place the Besaid Sphere on the holder just outside this room. The wall will disappear leaving you with a pedestal, which you can push.
Destruction Sphere: Now before you continue you can to the part that involves the Destruction Sphere, which is important later on in the game. Take the Glyph Sphere back out of the door you placed it in earlier. Just walk up to it and press X near it. Take it and head back towards the pedestal, but on your way when you see the holder for a Sphere put the Glyph Sphere into it. It will lift the wall revealing the Destruction Sphere. Place the Destruction Sphere where you got the Besaid Sphere. This will now destroy a wall at the end of the hallway revealing a chest. After obtaining the item you may continue with the main quest.
Push the pedestal all the way back into the holder. If you accidentally screw up just stand on the switch at the back of the room to put the pedestal in its original position. Once its pushed back it will reveal an elevator. You’ve now completed the Besaid Cloister of Trials.
