Once the story gets rolling again back track and pick up the Sense Materia sitting on the ground. You’ll have to walk forward far enough to get Tifa and Barrett to come out before you can turn around.
Make your way to Aeris’ house. Prepare yourself for a whole lotta talking about Aeris’ background.
When things get rolling again, back track to the ruins of Sector 7 and take a right towards Wall Street. Head all the way back up towards Don Corneo’s mansion, but take a right at the weapon shop:
Talk to the guy sitting off to the left. You can yell at him through the chain link. Buy the batteries he attempts to sell you. After that go towards the mansion and a few kids will run off to the right shouting about “something awesome”. Follow them to the right.
There will now be a big pipe leading to the upper sectors. Talk to the child standing in the way and begin your ascent.
Follow the left wire all the way to the top, jump off, and travel around to the empty battery slot. Stick a battery in it to get the propellers rotating. Run up towards the propeller and use it to get to the broken train track. Follow the train track to the next battery slot. This battery will cause the arm to move upwards creating another path. Climb up it towards the top of the wire. From here you’ll have to jump onto the swinging wire. First continue up the path and insert a battery in the last slot. Now head back down to the jump. I always have trouble with it, but you have as many tries as needed, and you don’t have to fight enemies on your climb back up. Good luck!
