Final Fantasy VII

Rocket Town

Important Note: This part of the strategy guide is for your first visit to Rocket Town. If you're on your second visit to Rocket Town and you're further along in the strategy guide than what's shown below click here.

When you first arrive at Rocket Town walk forward to find a man standing in front of a picket fence. Talk to him a couple of times and agree to look at the rocket with him. He’ll then give you Yoshiyuki, a weird sword for Cloud. The house on the far right side has a Power Source inside a chest. Make your way to the house furthest back. Inside is a chest containing a Drill Arm for Barrett. Once you have it head to the back of this house for a short cut-scene showing you the Tiny Bronco.

The weapon shop at the entrance to Rocket Town (left side) sells Gold Armlets if you still need a couple. You can catch some Z’s in the inn on the right. Make your way up to the rocket at the back of town.

Talk to Cid and you’ll get the opportunity to name him whatever you’d like. Make sure you get him to tell you all about the crooked rocket, and then head back to the house where the Tiny Bronco was. When you get inside the house you’ll get to see the dysfunctional Cid/Shera family.  Shera will explain to you what happened during the launch attempt of Shinra No. 26.

Once Shera is done explaining, follow Cid out into the center of town. Once Shera realized they’re about to take the Tiny Bronco she’ll send you out the back to stop Palmer from taking it.

Palmer

Palmer is really weak. No strategy necessary, random world encounters are tougher than this guy.

Palmer beside the Tiny Bronco.

HP: 6,000
Reward: Edincoat

After a quick scene with the team + Cid escaping, you now have the Tiny Bronco to wander around in! Ride the Tiny Bronco all the way through to North Corel (Gold Saucer). It’s pretty close. Ditch the Tiny Bronco on the shores of the river. The only way you’d know you had to go to Gold Saucer is by talking to the people in the house here:

But since you already know, just head to Gold Saucer!

A guy in the house will tell you about the Keystone.
