Final Fantasy VII

Gold Saucer

After a short explanation from Barrett about why all the townspeople hate him you’ll be on your way to Gold Saucer.

When you first arrive you may have noticed that you need GP to operate the save point. Unfortunately you won’t be able to save while in Gold Saucer. And don’t waste GP on saving, it’s just not worth it.

The lady at the front entrance will offer you two types of tickets. A one-time pass and a lifetime pass. The lifetime pass is definitely worth it although you probably can’t afford it right now. That is, unless you’ve been fighting way too many enemies and selling everything you come into contact with! Purchase a one time ticket and head on in.

Side Quest: Gold Saucer Date

This information is for the Gold Saucer date side quest (click here for more information).

- When you first enter the Gold Saucer, you will have the option of talking to members of your party and asking them to accompany you:

    Talking to Aeris:

        Go together                 (+3 Aeris)

        Don't go together           (-2 Aeris)

    Talking to Tifa:

        Go together                 (+3 Tifa)

        Don't go together           (-2 Tifa)

    Talking to Yuffie:

        Go together                 (+3 Yuffie)

        Don't go together           (-2 Yuffie)

    Talking to Red XIII:

Go together                 - No change -

        Don't go together           - No change -

Only the first of the above Affection changes may be made: if you decline Aeris first, you'll get -2 Aeris, but you will be unable to get a +3 Tifa as well, for example.

You can decline Red XIII for no effect and still get an Affection change by talking to one of the others.  If you ask Red XIII to come along though, the rest of the Affection changes are locked off.

If you leave the area without choosing a partner, the character with the highest Affection will automatically join you, and no changes will be made.

If Barret has the highest Affection, then Red XIII will join instead.

Pick someone to tag along with you and spend some time exploring Gold Saucer. For more information about Gold Saucer click here. The story continues at Wonder Square.

Cait Sith, probably the worst conceived character ever. You can name him anything you’d like after he’s joined your party. I’d recommend not using him in your party mainly because of how shitty he is!

Had enough of exploring Gold Saucer? The story continues at Battle Square.

Amusment parks ripping you off at every turn, feels like I'm back at Disneyland
No one should put Cait Sith on their team.|
Cinimatic of Gold Saucer the first time you arrive.
