To start things off, after you've climbed down the long ladder and into the actual temple, you'll start in a room with two unlocked doors and a couple of bats. First head up the stairs and go through the door on the left. You'll meat Darunia and he'll fill you in on the story. Now jump over to the platforms on the right. On the second one you’ll notice you can’t make the last jump, but on the platform up ahead is a little statue with a target on it that you can use your hookshot on. You’ll find two fairies in the pots up above.
On the opposite side of the room you’ll find a cage with a switch in front of it. Step on the switch to free the Goron inside. Remember to talk to him to receive the Small Key behind him. Then take it and use it on the locked door in the first room.
Follow the bridge and look for a long straight platform on your left. Jump on it and follow it all the way to the wall that has a tunnel on it leading to a door. In this room you will find another imprisoned Goron, and after freeing him you will receive another Key.
Go to the opposite side of the room and you’ll find a wall that sounds different then other walls. Use the Gorons special crop to destroy it (bombs). You’ll obtain another Key.
Now go back into the fire room with the long bridge in it. Use one of your keys on the door on the far end of the room.
Slide down the ramp in this room and use the chain link wall to climb to the top. There will be a platform on the top of each side of the room. Use the one on the right, and use it to jump onto the pillar in the middle of the room. This pillar, that you should be standing on right now, should have a block on it, not a torch. If it has a torch then head to the other pillar. Push the block off the pillar and onto the flame that keeps coming up. Then jump on the block and ride it to the second floor.
Use your key, and in the next room go to the left side of the room and jump on the platform that has the Torch Slugs located on it. Move towards the torch, and look to the other side of the room, you should see a white crystal. Jump over to that platform and push the block off. Then jump off the ledge and finish pulling the block all the way out. Now go back up and jump across the block and onto the platform to the left, and continue up one more level by using the chain link to get up. Look over the edge and find the crystal. Use your hookshot, or a bomb (bombs give you more time) to hit the crystal, then jump up the ledge and climb the chain link that previously had fire protecting it. Go through the door at the top.
A big maze. Just watch out for the rolling boulders. Go to the top right of this room, assuming you started at the bottom. You’ll find another door leading to an imprisoned Goron. Also, on the far right you need to find another imprisoned Goron. You’ll receive another two Small Keys. Now go to the top middle of this room to find the locked door.
In this room start by nailing the eye on the wall above the two doors. Then go through the one that opens. (Captain Obvious says Make sure not to fall). You get the Dungeon Map! Now go back out to the room with the eye and open the locked door.
Walk along the narrow passage that leads out over the lava and leap onto the chain link fencing. You now have to outrun the flames. Just follow the chain link pathway all the way to the door on the other side of the room. It’s unlocked.
Your back in the maze room, only this time you’re a level up. Jump onto the closest ledge with the Torch Slug on it, defeat it and then bomb the floor. All the way down you will find another imprisoned Goron with your next Small Key. Go all the way back up to the maze room when you’re done talking to him.
As your jumping platforms up here you should see a platform all by itself that has a switch on it. It’s not to far from where you bombed the floor. Step on it to release the Goron on the other end of the room.
Now go all the way back to where you had to outrun the flame wall. By the way, on the ledge, just before you go through the door, you can play the Scarecrows Song to find Pierre. Once the wall of fire starts approaching you, jump onto one of the pillars along the fences. Then run and jump onto the ledge on the back (East) wall to find a locked door.
Go through the little fire maze until you find a locked door on the left side. Go through the passage way (paste the imprisoned Goron). Make your way through this side of the maze now. You're looking for a switch; once you find it, step on it, and the firewall will disappear. Now you climb up and head through the door that was behind it. The door will laugh and hit you. Launch a bomb at it to get it out of the way.
Now you get to fight Flare Dancer. When it stops whirling around the room throw a bomb at it, and if your run out of bombs you will have to use your Hookshot. I actually suggest you use your Hookshot anyways. It will then be extinguished and start running around the room. That’s when you hit it with your sword. If it outruns you turn around and hit it on its way back around. Step on the middle platform when you’re done.
This room is just like the last one with the crystal. All you have to do is climb up, throw a bomb off and climb the chain link.
This next room is where you obtain the Megaton Hammer. Hit the switch and beat the clock to the chest at the end of the room. Take whichever route suits your difficulty level. After you obtain the hammer go back to the entrance to this room and find a block near it. Use the Hammer on the block to shoot it down the passageway. Then use the hammer on the blocks blocking the doorway and go through.
In this room take care of the bats, and then pound the block sticking up in the hole in this room. There are two boxes in this room. Take one of them down the newly formed stairs in this room. If you destroyed them like I did just exit and re-enter the room and they will reappear. Drop the box on the blue switch at the bottom of the stairs.
Knock the block in this room and you will be back in the big maze chambers. Hop up the ledge; hit the rusted switch with your hammer and the door will open. Go through here to make it back into the corridor with the trapped Goron. Jump across to where the blue Box of Time is. Make sure to run across fast, it’s a long jump, and a long way back. Play the Song of Time and the block will move. It now gives you a shortcut to get back up on this level. It also leaves a switch behind that you can now hit. Climb the blue block and go back out into the maze room. Now jump onto the block in the center and use your hammer to punch it down.
Your now back where you met Darunia. Go back out to the very first room of the temple and find the door that’s being blocked by a statue, just like the one you already saw. Use your Megaton Hammer on it and head on in. Kill all the enemies in this room and proceed. Dodge the tiles and proceed. Now you have another Flare Dancer to kill, and you know how to do it.
The last room will allow you to free a Goron, and in his cell is the Boss Key. Now take it and head back up to where you met Darunia and use the key on the door.
Volvagia
Volvagia is actually really easy. It’s simply a mini game of Whack-a-mole. Every time he pokes his head out of the hole hit him with the Megaton Hammer to stun him and then hit him again with your sword to injure him. Other times, when he comes out of the hole, just dodge his attacks. The only really hard part about this boss is when he does get you, you will feel it! You’ll get to watch Link’s hearts disappear in seconds. Good luck!
Finally done the Fire Temple! Time to make your way back to the Zora's Domain.
